158 students were educated on dental care and received a dental care gift pack. This was Horizon's 4th year having Dr. Martin and the team from Colgate Bright Smiles Bright Futures program.

Scholars in Mrs. Barbara Laird’s Advanced Placement (AP) Environmental Science course learned about efficient energy use from a local company and took a tour to view solar panel installation in real time on the roof of their high school.

Newburgh Free Academy Selected to Attend Prestigious National Air Force Program
Newburgh Free Academy was selected to participate in the 2020 cohort of the JROTC-CS Demonstration Project. Out of 2200 schools in the United States, only 30 schools were accepted to be part of this national program.

The NFA Debate team had the great opportunity to compete in the 46th Annual Harvard Forensics National Tournament held at Harvard University. The tournament consisted over 400 teams from all across the country.

NFA Evening Campus hosted a celebration for thirty scholars who had perfect attendance during the second quarter. Scholars and their families were welcomed to a brief ceremony and celebrated with certificates, treats, and refreshments.
