Merari Rodriguez, Senior at NFA North, Signed National Letter of Intent for Soccer
Merari signed her intent for St. Thomas Aquinas and was joined by her parents and younger sister, who is also a soccer player for Newburgh. Merari was also joined by coaches, teachers, and administrators who have supported her.

Parents: Upcoming NYS Testing Information Grades 3-8
Every spring, the Grades 3-8 English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics Tests are administered to students across New York State. April 11th begins the NYS ELA Grade 3-8 testing. Math testing will begin May 1, 2018.

South Middle School Hosted a Student vs. Staff Basketball
Students in grades 6-8 took on teachers, administrators, security guards, school counselors, substitute teachers, and custodians! Despite the slight advantage for students, staff was victorious with a final score of: 55-39.

45 Excelsior Students Skip Spring Recess!
Approximately 45 students travel to SUNY Orange each week to take college courses. When our school breaks don't match up - these students still show up! Sometimes that is the dedication it takes!

Steven won the silver medal for his submission of a Personal Essay & Memoir. Previously, Steven was a 2018 Regional Gold Key recipient for the same essay, which led up to his Silver Medal award.
