The NECSD and Newburgh Free Library recently celebrated its annual Family Reading Day, a vibrant community event dedicated to fostering a lifelong love of literacy.

The NECSD is incredibly proud to announce that Stella Torres, a student at GAMS, has been named a statewide winner in the New York Association for Pupil Transportation (NYAPT) School Bus Safety Poster Contest.

The District Calendar for the 2026-2027 school year was approved by the Board of Education meeting held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, and is now available.

The air-conditioning units work, however, they have not been turned on for the season. The district will not turn on the cooling units until the threat of freezing temperatures has passed.
