Two NFA Debate Team Members Qualify for Nationals
Two NFA Debate team members have qualified for Debate Nationals virtually in June. The two NFA scholars who qualified are George Eliadis and Robert Morabito.

Nine Winter Varsity Athletic Teams Achieve Scholar-Athlete Status!
To receive Scholar-Athlete team recognition, the team’s average GPA for 75% of the roster must be greater than or equal to 90.00. 88 out of 196 Varsity Athletes had a GPA of 90% or higher.

Visual Communication and Design Scholars Create Posters to Educate Peers
Mr. Gebhardt's Visual Communication and Design classes began designing educational signs prior to school closures earlier this March. The posters were created by the high school scholars, intended to educate their peers throughout the district.

Congratulations to Daysha Simmons and A'Mya Brock for being honored 2 out of the top 50 players in classes AA-D as voted by the coaches in Section 9. The NFA Girls Basketball team is coached by Coach Arturo Santana.

NFA North students in Ms. Bender's Chemistry Classes Work with IBM Volunteers
On Tuesday March 10th, NFA North students in Ms. Bender's Chemistry classes worked with volunteers from IBM and Global Foundries to create a wind powered car. The student teams designed a wind powered car to travel a distance.

Newburgh Free Academy alumnus Angelo Foster has signed with the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Foster recently graduated from SUNY Cortland and played football there. Foster was part of the class of 2016.
