NFA West Awards Students and Teachers for Improvement, Character, and Engagement

Over the weekend, Newburgh Free Academy hosted their Annual Home Drill Competition. Not only did our cadets help run our biggest event of the year, our drill team performed exceptionally well! They competed against 8 other teams throughout NY and NJ.

High school scholars from Newburgh Free Academy PTECH hosted She Can STEM, an event that focused on young girls and women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields.

This year, the celebration showcased instrumental music. The celebration included an Empire Drum Line Processional, a Introduction from Dr. Padilla, performance by All-State Trombone Player, and a Ukulele Ensemble.

NFA Boys Track Team Ranked 2nd in State and 8th in Nation!
The Newburgh Free Academy Boys 4X400m relay entered the State Meet ranked 8th in the state and 28 in the nation, however they left the meet with a second place finish and a 2nd place state ranking along with an 8th place national ranking.
