NFA P-TECH Scholars and Mentors Talk Resumes and Internships
NFA P-TECH Scholars in year 3 and their IBM mentors met for a session to discuss resumes and summer internship plans. Each scholars in the NFA P-TECH program is paired with a mentor to facilitate learning professional skills.

Ninth grade Honors students from Newburgh Free Academy Main Campus took a trip to Washington's Headquarters recently. The scholars are going to do a museum label writing activity using artifacts from the collection from Washington's Headquarters.

The NFA Varsity Competitive Cheer earned an incredible 2nd place win this Saturday at Monroe Woodbury’s Winter Classic! The athletes worked hard to defeat teams in both Section I and Section IX. Two competitions remain in the season!

The NFA Varsity Crew Team held their pancake breakfast last Saturday morning at Applebee's in Newburgh serving hundreds of guests while simultaneously holding a collection of high-demand necessities scholars within NECSD who are in temporary housing.

The NFA Key Club will be hosting our 3rd annual International Night. This year all proceeds with be donating to the Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital Baby Shower. There will be performances, food and drinks.

NFA Varsity Competitive Cheer took home another third place win this weekend at Valley Central’s Viking Pride Competition! We are so proud of them! So far this season, they have placed at every competition they’ve attended.

The NFA Boys Varsity Basketball team took home a win, this Saturday, February 1st, in a statement game against Albany Academy, 63:60. This advances their record to 13-1. Amari Tice (#2) led all scorers with 28 points.

HMS National Junior Honor Society Scholars Donate Items to Puerto Rico
The NJHS was able to collect 400 items to help, including food, baby supplies, blankets, pillows, first aid and health/beauty items. The group is spearheaded by HMS teacher, Mrs. Tara Lapierre.

Before Broadway Theater Co. Presents: Radium Girls
Scholars will be performing Radium Girls for the NFA Main Winter Drama. Performances will be held on Thursday and Friday, February 6th and 7th at 7pm and Saturday, February 8th at 2pm.

All Nine Fall Varsity Athletic Teams Achieve Scholar Athlete Status
These teams combine to make up 202 athletes. To receive Scholar-Athlete team recognition, the team’s average GPA for 75% of the roster must be greater than or equal to 90.00.
