Scholars at NFA West interviewed scholars from GAMS as they interviewed for leadership positions that are available around their school. Prior to the interview day, scholars at GAMS participated in a Leader In Me Job Fair.

Every Security Guard in NECSD is Basic Life Support CPR Certified
Senior school monitor, Mr. David Maldonado conducts trainings for all security guards throughout the Newburgh Enlarged City School District. All security guards have been trained in Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR.

NFA JROTC Receives "Exceeds Standards" During Evaluation by Department of Air Force Air University (AETC)
During their evaluation in November, the Air Force Junior ROTC instructors and cadets of Newburgh Free Academy earned an overall unit assessment score of “Exceeds Standards,” which is the highest rating attainable.

Ada Johnston, 12th grade scholar at Newburgh Free Academy’s Main Campus is a semi-finalist for the National Merit Scholar program. Semi-Finalists for the award are the highest scoring entrants in each state.
