|Hour of Code at NFA North - Sign Ups Now Available!
NFA North will be hosting the annual Hour of Code at NFA North Campus on Wednesday, December 11 from 5:30-7:30. Open to all students K-12.
|GAMS Pre-K Center Celebrates the Season with Book Character Parade
GAMS Pre-K Center classes created unique costumes based on appropriately selected books. They took the opportunity on October 31 to parade their creations for their loved ones and peers as they lit up the hallways with their smiles and music.

|NECSD Celebrates Pink Night in Honor of Those Who Have Battled Cancer
The Newburgh Enlarged City School District participated in a Pink Night celebration in honor of those who have battled cancer. Participants from several schools lined the track and marched during a pre-game ceremony.
|Save the date! NFA Dance Presents: The Princess and the Frog
The NFA Dance Department will perform The Princess and the Frog on Friday, December 6th at 7:00pm and Saturday, December 7th at 2:00pm. Ticket information will be available in October.
|REMINDER: Wednesday - September 18, 2019 - 15 Minute Early Dismissal Drill
The Newburgh Enlarged City School District’s annual drill of the EARLY DISMISSAL PROCEDURES is scheduled for Wednesday, September 18, 2019. Student will be release 15 minutes earlier than their normally scheduled.

|Scholars Enjoy Lunch and Legos at Newburgh Free Library
Earlier this week the Newburgh Free Library facilitated a lego station during lunch time. Scholars were able to enjoy their lunch and then spend a few minutes experimenting with architecture and engineering with legos.
|Free Summer Meals in Newburgh and New Windsor Open to ALL Children 18 and Younger
The Newburgh Enlarged City School District will launch their Free Summer Meals program with a collaborative event with Cornell Cooperative Extension Orange County, and local community agencies.

Stop by the Main or Branch locations of the Newburgh Free Library and sign up for the Summer Reading Program. There are programs for youth of all ages, and adults too! Registration begins June 17, but continues throughout the summer.

|2019-2020 Talent Development Program
Our district’s Talent Development Program provides scholars with classroom settings and additional learning opportunities that develop their special talents and abilities in grades K-8.
|Voters Approved All Propositions for 2019-2020
On Tuesday, May 21, NECSD residents approved the district’s school budget, thelibrary budget, the Transportation limit, Proposition 4: District-wide Capital Improvement, Proposition 5: District-Wide Capital Improvement, and elected three BOE members.
|"Literacy Happens" 4-part Youth Literacy Workshop Offered through Family and Community Engagement Team
The four-part workshop series is designed to help families learn how literacy knowledge and skills develop in young children (ages 3-4) and what they can do to support their child’s growth even before school begins.
