TRAFFIC ALERT | Gidney Avenue Closed (10/27 & 10/28)

Dear NECSD faculty and staff,

The City of Newburgh Department of Public Works has advised that Gidney Avenue (between West Street and the town line/84 overpass) will be closed to all traffic on Tuesday, October 28th, to facilitate essential street paving work. Planning an alternate route around that area is highly recommended during that timeframe. 

While this closure is weather-permitting, it may impact your transportation to school and work. Please plan your travel accordingly.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we navigate these state road closures.

Estimado personal docente y administrativo de NECSD:

El Departamento de Obras Públicas de la ciudad de Newburgh ha informado que Gidney Avenue (entre West Street y el límite municipal/paso elevado de la autopista 84) permanecerá cerrada a todo tipo de tráfico el martes 27 de octubre, con el fin de llevar a cabo trabajos esenciales de pavimentación. Se recomienda encarecidamente planificar una ruta alternativa para evitar esa zona durante dicho periodo.

Aunque este cierre está sujeto a las condiciones meteorológicas, es posible que afecte a su traslado hacia la escuela o el lugar de trabajo. Por favor, planifique sus desplazamientos teniendo esto en cuenta.
