Balmville ENL Scholars Visit Marist College
On May 30th the ENL students at Balmville School were invited to visit the campus at Marist College for a second year in a row. The ENL students in grades 3, 4, and 5 spent the day participating in a STEM activity and exploring various buildings on a tour. They collected and identified leaves on a nature walk, got to eat lunch in one of Marist's cafeterias, and got to see a dorm room. It was an amazing and meaningful experience for all of the English language learners that attended! This trip enabled the children to envision themselves as college students beyond Academy Field!
