Students Research and Thank First Responders in Remembrance of 9/11
In honor of Patriot Day, our 5th-grade students explored and commemorated the events of September 11th, 2001.
To honor the lives lost and understand the profound impact of the history of September 11th, students watched first-person interviews and took detailed notes. They analyzed how these diverse, real-life experiences continue to shape and impact the next generation, and those to come. Concluding their day of remembrance with community action, the 5th graders wrote heartfelt thank you notes to our dedicated Newburgh community first responders to show their deep appreciation for those who protect us every day.
