Greetings GAMS Families,
On behalf of the new administrative team, we want to warmly welcome you back to Gidney Avenue Memorial School for the 2026–2027 school year! We hope you’re enjoying a relaxing and joyful summer filled with wonderful memories alongside family and friends.
My name is Brian Dunn and I will be serving as the new Principal alongside Ms. Nieves Beckett, our new Assistant Principal. Together we are thrilled to join the GAMS school-family. We look forward to meeting you very soon.
As we continue to celebrate the positive gains that Gidney Avenue School has made from a school in need of improvement to a school in good standing, we recognize the work is far from finished. We remain fully committed to increasing all students’ academic proficiency and social- emotional health. Thank you for your continued support as we build on this positive momentum.
We can't wait to welcome you back in September! School begins for all students on Thursday, September 3rd. Our school hours are 8:15am-3:15pm.
You’re Invited!: To walk your student to their Classroom. We are happy to be able to offer you this opportunity again this year! This has become a very popular tradition here at Gidney.

- Grade 4-5 - Tuesday, September 8
