Gidney Avenue Memorial School Presented a Food Themed Art Show
Gidney Avenue Memorial School showcased a food themed art from artists of all ages from the Pre-K building, accompanying their spring music shows. Creativity took center stage as Pre-K through fifth grade students transformed the art show into an immersive celebration of food, imagination, and play. Student artwork showcased a wide range of mediums—from vibrant watercolor paintings to hand-built clay creations—while interactive displays invited students and families to step into themed environments inspired by students’ work. Guests explored imaginative spaces including a taco truck, ice cream truck, pizzeria, grocery store, bakery, and diner, creating an experience that blurred the line between gallery and play. Students used GAMS bucks with their principals' faces on the bills to play at the mock grocery store and served pizza to friends while others took orders from their Taco Trucks.
The exhibit highlighted not only artistic skill, but also creativity, storytelling, and joyful hands-on learning.
The annual Art Show extravaganza is coordinated by art teachers Ms. Kelsey Kimlin and Ms. Kirstin Dorigatti.
