Making a Splash: NECSD Kicks Off Free Youth Swim Lessons!
The Newburgh Enlarged City School District (NECSD) is diving into a life-changing new initiative! We are thrilled to announce the official kickoff of our FREE youth swim lessons for elementary students.
The community response to this opportunity was nothing short of incredible. Before the request form even closed, the district received more than 1,000 responses, highlighting the immense interest and need for water safety and swimming skills for our children.
A Powerful Partnership
This program is a true community effort. In partnership with Empower Swim Academy owned by NFA alumnus, Joshua Bryant, these lessons are made possible through the generous sponsorship of:
With the official approval of our Board of Education, these donations ensure that our students can access high-quality instruction at no cost to their families.
Session #1 is Underway!
The first wave of young swimmers began their journey on Friday, at the NFA Main Campus Pool. This program serves NECSD students ages 4–10 years old, with participants grouped by age and skill level to ensure everyone learns at their own pace.
Future Opportunities
We understand that many families may be disappointed if they were unable to secure a spot this time. Please know that we are actively working on plans to extend programming opportunities through the fall and hope to provide additional sessions in the near future.
Thank you to our sponsors, our Board of Education, and Empower Swim Academy for making this splash possible! We appreciate your understanding and continued support of our programs.
