NFA Astronomy Club Hosts Five Sold Out Seasonal Shows in the Planetarium
The NFA Planetarium recently hosted five sold-out shows featuring a special seasonal program centered on stars and constellations familiar to generations of NFA alumni, now reimagined for a new generation of students and families. Timed around the winter solstice, the show highlighted classic night-sky patterns and celestial traditions, creating a meaningful connection between past and present through astronomy.
Each show included a planetarium presentation led by science teacher Mr. Newhall, followed by an outdoor sky tour hosted by the NFA Astronomy Club. Attendees had the opportunity to observe the winter sky firsthand, deepening their understanding of the constellations discussed inside the dome. The enthusiastic response and full audiences reflected strong community interest and excitement for hands-on science experiences at NFA.
