Horizons on the Hudson | Girls are on the Run!
Girls on the Run is a powerful program that supports participants in building confidence, resilience, and strong social-emotional skills while encouraging healthy physical activity. Through engaging lessons and teamwork, students develop goal-setting skills, empathy, self-awareness, and strategies for making positive choices—skills that extend well beyond the program itself. This work is made possible through the dedication of teachers and staff who serve as coaches and mentors, as well as the encouragement of families who cheer on and support participants throughout the season. Together, this partnership creates a nurturing environment where students feel empowered, supported, and proud of their growth. As a culminating event, Horizons on the Hudson Girls on the Run (GOTR) Team completed there Fall 5K at Rockland Lake State Park.
