Dr. Gina Prokosch-Cook, DDS, Visits Temple Hill Scholars
Local dentist and NFA alumna, Dr. Gina Prokosch Cook, hosted an engaging dental assembly for kindergarten and grade 1 students at Temple Hill Academy. During the session, the young learners discovered the importance of brushing their teeth twice a day, how to properly grip a toothbrush, and which foods can help prevent cavities from forming. Dr. Cook also demonstrated the proper techniques for keeping teeth clean and healthy. A big hit with the students was when they had the opportunity to view dental x-rays, which gave them a fascinating glimpse into the inner workings of their teeth and underscored the importance of regular dental care. The students left with a better understanding of how to take care of their smiles and why dental hygiene matters.
