Latino Family Literacy Program - Off to a great start at Gardnertown!
Families learned about the Latino Family Literacy Project and how it supports literacy through home-based learning strategies that they can do with their young scholars, this past Saturday. Families also provided feedback regarding the program and ways to support families to ensure maximum attendance and participation.
A start date for the program will be announced soon. The program at Gardnertown will take place on Saturdays for two hours each workshop session. Families will receive resources and materials and will partner with Gardnertown teachers to learn strategies to use the resources and materials in their homes. The Gardnertown School Community is doing it with love for literacy.
TEACHERS: Are you and your students doing something great? Please contact your Communication Strategist. We’d love to attend or post your pictures and recap to highlight the amazing accomplishments throughout our district! Grades PreK-5 Amanda McDowell (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Grades 6-12 Cassie Sklarz (email@example.com).
