NFA North 9th Grade Orientation Bootcamp - August 25th

July 26, 2022

Dear NFA North Campus 9th grade Students and Parents:

I would like to welcome you to Newburgh Free Academy. I hope that the next four years at NFA will be educationally successful and that you will walk across the stage on Academy Field and receive your diploma as a member of the Class of 2026.

High school is a time of change. The workload and social adjustments are greater and the expectations of attendance, completing assignments and behavior are higher. Your years at NFA will be exciting and filled with many new opportunities.

In order to prepare and introduce you to NFA North Campus you are invited and expected to attend the 9th grade orientation/boot camp on Thursday, August 25th from 8:00am-12:00pm. NFA P-TECH students should not attend, as they received this information during their summer program.

At the orientation/boot camp, we will introduce you to the administrators, teachers, curriculum, school policies and other important information that you will need to know as you enter NFA.

As you can see on the attached boot camp schedule, the day is scheduled to address specific topics for 9th grade, but we will also discuss how you should plan for the following high school years. Transportation will not be provided, so please plan accordingly.

Please mark your calendar: Orientation/Boot Camp on August 25th - 8:00 AM -12:00 PM

Boot Camp Schedule:

8:15 - 8:45 AM - Arrival, Registration & Breakfast

8:45 - 9:15 AM - Parent & Student Assembly (Parents leave after assembly and return at 12 noon for student dismissal)

Sinceramente,

Matteo Dodo
