OCIAA Scholar Athletes: Megan Cameron and Roberto Reade


Megan Cameron and Roberto Reade were named OCIAA Scholar Athletes (Office of Interscholastic Athletics at Orange-Ulster BOCES). The students were recognized with all scholar athletes from the county at a reception this spring. Congratulations to our scholar athletes!

Academic Honors/Extracurricular Activities:  National Honor Society Vice President,  NYS Science Honor Society, Senior Class President & Student Council, NYS Seal of Civic Readiness, NYS Seal of Biliteracy, NFA High Honor Roll, American Legion School Award, Congressional Award Silver Medal, Congressional Award Bronze Metal, Commander’s Challenge Coin, Regional & National FEMA Youth Preparedness Council, Newburgh Sharks USA Swimming Club, American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certification, Clinical Research Internship at the US Military Academy’s Biochemistry Lab and the West Point Advanced Return to Run Investigations and Orthopedic Research (WARRIOR), Motion Laboratory, Youth in Government, University of Rochester Summer Courses:  Personalized Medicine~Customizing Care Through Genetics and Biomedical Engineering~Solving the Body’s Challenges with Technology

Community Service:  Volunteer Swimming Instructor, Hudson Valley SPCA Volunteer, Dutchess-Orange Tutoring (DOT)

Future Plans:  Princeton University to major in Molecular Biology and join Club Swimming
