NFA West Hosts Cosmetology Opportunity for Internship Program

Mrs. Catherine Bullock, Mentor for the NFA West Cosmetology program is doing great work with 4 interns at NFA West. Each week, students have an opportunity to experience lectures on different aspects of cosmetology while also putting the lectures into practice. For the program’s latest project, students had to practice in advance a “Holiday Glam” look. Mrs. Bullock presented the students an variety of holiday hairstyles and had to select from the demos presented to them. They then took the next few internship classes  to perfect their looks. The students were assigned to speak with teachers and advisors that would be willing to volunteer as models so they would have the opportunity to put into practice what they learned. This experience helped them to gain confidence in their work as well as the ability to experience a salon setting.
