Election Day 2021 - School Poll Information

Dear NECSD scholars, families, faculty, and staff,

Tomorrow is Election Day! As you know, some of our schools serve as polling sites. The Orange County Board of Elections has issued a Health and Safety Plan for the 2021 General Election. This plan includes several steps to providing a safe voting environment. 

Each location will:

• Be making sure all voters and workers always wear a face mask in the polling site;
• Be provided cleaning items for Board of Elections staff with a schedule of regular sanitization of door handles and tables;
• Enforcing that all voters and poll workers are always practicing social distancing;
• Maintaining the safety and sanitizing of the Polling Site and equipment

Additionally, the district has worked with the Orange County Board of Elections to relocate some polling sites within our schools, so that each location has an exterior entry and exit, so voters will not be entering a main section of any school building.

Estimados académicos, familias, profesores y personal de NECSD:

¡Mañana es el día de las elecciones! Como saben, algunas de nuestras escuelas sirven como lugares de votación. La Junta Electoral del Condado de Orange ha emitido un Plan de Salud y Seguridad para las Elecciones Generales de 2021. Este plan incluye varios pasos para proporcionar un entorno de votación seguro.

Cada ubicación:

• Asegúrese de que todos los votantes y trabajadores usen siempre una mascarilla en el lugar de votación;
• Recibir artículos de limpieza para el personal de la Junta Electoral con un programa de desinfección regular de las manijas de las puertas y las mesas;
• Hacer cumplir que todos los votantes y trabajadores electorales siempre practiquen el distanciamiento social;
• Mantener la seguridad y desinfección del sitio de votación y el equipo.

Además, el distrito ha trabajado con la Junta Electoral del Condado de Orange para reubicar algunos sitios de votación dentro de nuestras escuelas, de modo que cada lugar tenga una entrada y salida exterior, de modo que los votantes no ingresen a una sección principal de ningún edificio escolar.
