Goldbacks give back! Students from NFA West and Balmville learn together
Students from NFA West read to some classes and mentored others at Balmville Elementary. NFA West students gave presentations on Exhibition projects this week. Students who scored the top two of their Advisory groups on their Exhibition project were selected to take a trip to Balmville Elementary School. Members of the student advisory organized the trip and put together goodie bags for the younger scholars.
While reading, NFA West students were animated and asked questions of the younger scholars that inspired critical thinking. While mentoring, NFA West students discussed their experiences in elementary school and the transitions to middle and then high school. They offered advice to the younger Goldbacks to guide them toward success.
ATTENTION: Are your scholars or colleagues doing something great? Please contact the district Communications Strategist, Cassie Sklarz (firstname.lastname@example.org). We’d love to visit your class or event and/or post your pictures and recap to highlight the amazing accomplishments throughout our district!
