Dear Temple Hill Academy Parents & Guardians,
Welcome back! I am honored to introduce myself as your new Assistant Principal at Temple Hill. Before coming to the Newburgh Enlarged City School District, I served as a teacher and an administrator in the New York City Department of Education. I was born and raised in the Hudson Valley and I am very excited to return to the area to serve the Temple Hill Academy school community.
Each school year brings about new opportunities to learn and grow. As our children return to school with bright and eager faces, their enthusiasm inspires ours. I am looking forward to building relationships with all of you over the course of the school year!
From Ms. Helgans, Assistant Principal
As Temple Hill Academy assistant principal I would like to welcome everyone to the 2017-2018 school year.
Our entire school staff is looking forward to a productive year for all students as they grow academically, socially, and emotionally. At THA we value a strong partnership with parents to support success for all students as they continue to develop their unique talents and skills. Together we will continue to inspire students to be tomorrow’s leaders beyond Academy Field.
Wishing you a successful school year!
From Ms. Rodriguez, Assistant Principal
Greetings parents and families of Temple Hill Academy!
Welcome to the 2017-'18 school year! I hope everyone enjoyed the summer and is excited to begin the new school year as much as I am. As a new assistant principal to Temple Hill Academy, I would first like to express my own enthusiasm about joining the Temple Hill school community. I am eager to jump into the work ahead and energized to lead and support students, families, and staff alongside the other administrators. I look forward to the possibilities of the new school year, as well as the opportunity to get to know one another and continue to strive for overall academic success!
This time of year is marked by many emotions and anticipation, but please remember "Through the work of all we will inspire and generate enthusiastic and responsible students ." I encourage parents and families to become even more involved, as we strive to support the whole child-- academically and social-emotionally. As the year progresses, we are prepared to give our scholars and their families the tools, resources, and education to develop and build skills needed to be successful beyond academy field. We look forward to having the building filled with the energy and excitement that the children bring to our hallways and classrooms.
Our Open House “Meet the Teachers” will take place on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 . We will begin at 6:00 pm. The purpose of our Open House is to provide parents the opportunity to tour the building and meet our staff. This night is not for parent/teacher conferences. More information will be forthcoming about open house.
After a brief meeting in the cafeteria, parents will be allowed to go to their child’s or children’s classroom (s). Students in grades 6-8 will receive a copy of their child’s schedule. This will allow you to follow your child’s daily routine.
My name is Allie Jusino, PTO President for Temple Hill Academy. I have one child who attends Temple Hill Academy and a son who graduated from Temple Hill Academy last June! I am starting my 5th year as PTO President and am very happy and proud to be part of the Temple Hill family. I would like to invite all parents, grandparent and guardians to come to a PTO meeting and find out what is happening and how YOU can make a difference in your child’s school. We would love to have you! All funds raised directly impact our children.
