NFA West Hosts Financial Aid Events
NFA West hosted two financial events through a partnership with Mount Saint Mary College, SUNY Orange and MHVAC Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Students from NFA West were able to complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) through a hands-on-workshop with assistance from the admissions and financial offices from the colleges. Maynard Schmidt, Director of Admissions and Recruitment along with Financial Aid representative, Michael Visbeck both from SUNY Orange did a great job assisting students with this process. School Counselors Lakeya Stukes and Pamela Bonsu also collaborated with Ms. Carol Johnson-Cromer and Shawna Newkirk-Reynolds from MHVAC for this event. The organization provided refreshments and tremendous support.
Kayla Senno, Admissions Counselor and Thalia McFarlane and Lydia Santiago from the Office of Financial Aid at Mount Saint Mary College provided a comprehensive presentation and support with completing the fafsa as well. Approximately 20 families have now completed their fafsa at NFA West.
