SMS to Host Annual Books and Breakfast Event on Pi Day!

Join us the South Middle School Annual Family/Community Event: Books and Breakfast. Sign up here or click on the link below to download the form! 

This event will be held on Saturday, March 14th from 8am - 11am (snow date 4/18) in the South Middle School Cafeteria.

This year we are having our event on Pi Day! To celebrate the math connection, we are also pre-selling pies and there will be a math element to the event.

Several community organizations have confirmed their attendance to host an info tables and/or lead informational sessions to hand out info and or let the community know about programs and events. Organizations include: Boys & Girls Club, Paper Thoughts (Mrs. Ostrow & Goliath), Newburgh Clean Water Project, Face Painting by SMS alumni, We Are Newburgh, Safe Home of Orange County, Mrs. Faison a local author, NECSD colleague and SMS parent, and the Art department will be making bookmarks as well as handing out digitally designed bookmarks by our SMS students. Local organizations interested in participating should contact Ms. Conchetta Carbone at ccarbonedegiacomo@necsd.net. 

Additionally, there will be a preview of the SMS spring musical, Beauty and the Beast as well as live music from the Books & Breakfast Band.

HERE is the order form for t-shirts. It is a paper form and cash only that is due to Mrs. Greenop by Feb 21st. T-Shirts order forms also available in the main office.
