The students of Ms. Jones, Ms. Batista, and Ms. Carlone's first grade classroom at Horizons were overjoyed to have their families engaged in our Publishing Party, which was geared toward our research project on Endangered Animals.

The event was the culminating project for a course that encouraged collaboration between ENL teachers and librarians. The K-2 ENL students came to the library to participate in a variety of literacy and theme based stations.

With over 675,000 student patrollers participating in more than 35,000 schools across the globe, this program is one of the largest school-based safety efforts, promoting citizenship, leadership, and responsibility among students.

We will only be offering summer school for our current 9th graders (rising 10th graders) and our seniors who require coursework for promotion or graduation.

The two seniors have written, acted, starred in, and edited the 5 episode series, with guidance from instructor Guy Du Quesnay. The duo have already begun production on their follow up project, a documentary about the making of this year's spring mus

This round, our students were recognized for Courage and Commitment, for the Months of March and April. Parents were so proud of their children, and the teachers - you can see the pride in their eyes!

On National School Nurse Day, we recognize and celebrate the vital role school nurses play in keeping our students healthy, safe, and ready to learn.

Effective Tuesday, May 13, 2025, aluminum drinking containers will no longer be allowed at our NECSD schools for students. This includes all reusable aluminum/stainless steel water bottles.

Student athletes selected books to read to the students who listened intently, asked questions, and loved hearing stories from our older scholars.

Students from Mr. Chandler and Mrs. Sileno’s grade 11 ELA classes at NFA Main, participated in the “Classroom to Screening Room” program at the Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville, NY.

The Temple Hill Academy Chapter of National Junior Honor Society will be hosting a blood drive with the New York Blood Center on Thursday, May 1st from 3:30 pm to 7:15 pm at our school.
