Meadow Hill School has Fun with Philanthropy
Meadow Hill School proved that giving back can be both meaningful and wildly fun as students rallied together to raise an impressive $8,000 to support their school. Throughout their fundraising campaign, students practiced real philanthropic skills such as goal-setting, communication and presentation, teamwork, leadership, and understanding the impact of contributing to a shared cause.
Their hard work paid off in more ways than one: they earned the power to choose which inflatable characters their teachers would wear as they raced through a hilarious obstacle course. From upside down clowns to wobbly aliens, the students’ choices guaranteed plenty of laughter before the race even began.
The excitement grew when the top fundraisers joined their teachers in navigating the course, cheering each other on while practicing perseverance, collaboration, and community spirit. But the crowning moment came afterwards, when the highest-earning students earned the once-in-a-lifetime chance to pie a teacher—or even the principal!
If the shrieks of laughter were any indication, the adults may have enjoyed the antics just as much as the students.
Through all the fun, Meadow Hill students discovered that philanthropy builds not only stronger communities but also skills like empathy, responsibility, and the confidence to make a difference.
The donations raised will go to support fun school activities like field trips, end of the year activities and specials departments.
