Meadow Hill School Creates a Gratitude Tree of Thanks
The month of November offers a perfect opportunity for all of us to pause and reflect on what we’re thankful for.
At Meadow Hill School, our teachers and administrators are especially grateful for the building staff, who put in so much hard work to bring the Gratitude Tree project to life. It meant a great deal to them, and to all of us to see how many things our community appreciates. One of the first things you notice when you enter Meadow Hill is our large Gratitude Tree. The purpose of this project was for our whole school to contribute positive messages, helping to foster a culture of kindness.
While gratitude and happiness are not the same, they are closely connected; people who regularly express gratitude tend to experience greater happiness. It’s wonderful to see students stopping by to read the leaves, and then recognizing that something a peer in grades K–8 wrote or drew is something they too can be thankful for.

ATTENTION: Are your scholars or colleagues doing something great? Please contact the district Communications Team at communications@necsd.net. We’d love to visit your class or event and/or post your pictures and recap to highlight the amazing accomplishments throughout our district!
