New York State School Board Appreciation Week
New York State School Board Appreciation Week is an annual initiative by the New York State School Boards Association (NYSSBA) that highlights the invaluable volunteer service of local school board members who dedicate countless hours to overseeing the education of their communities' youth, setting policy, and supporting student success.
This essential work is being further enhanced by the recent addition of student members, who serve as non-voting representatives on school boards.
This mandatory inclusion provides a crucial, firsthand perspective from the student body on educational policies and programs, making the decision-making process more informed, representative, and relevant to the students they are ultimately designed to serve.
We appreciate the time and dedication each of our board members provides to our community. Join us as we recognize these dedicated individuals and integral members of our community!
