ATTENTION CURRENT 8th GRADE FAMILIES!!!
DO YOU WANT YOUR CHILD TO EARN COLLEGE CREDITS AND GAIN CAREER EXPOSURE WHILE THEY ARE IN HIGH SCHOOL?
Your future 9th grader will have the chance in the Fall of 2024. Smart Scholar Early College High School Programs: Teaching Pathway and Game Programming Pathway provides your child the opportunity to earn a minimum of 25 COLLEGE CREDITS while in high school at NO COST. The program is completely FREE for incoming 9th grade students. While there are limited spots available, this program can open doors for your child's future.
Your scholar will have the opportunity to get a head start on college and career by taking college courses offered at Newburgh Free Academy through our partnership with SUNY Orange and Mount Saint Mary College.
The program prepares your child for the rigor of college-level work in a setting designed to support and promote success all while gaining industry skills that are in high demand. Students who complete college coursework in high school are 88% more likely to continue their education in college. When the time comes for your child to apply for college, participation in this program will strengthen their application for continuing their education beyond Academy Field.
The Smart Scholar Early College High School Program includes two additional options to choose from Teaching Pathways and Game Programming.
Each program is designed to propel your child to an even brighter future.
***PLEASE NOTE that if you have already applied, it is NOT necessary to apply again.***
Applications will be accepted through Friday, June 14, 2024.
