West Point Cadet Speaks to Middle and High School Students about Experience
Cadet Mellon visited HMS and spoke to Ms. Coopersmith's students. Using a slide show he taught them about the United States Military Academy at West Point, and what it's like to be in the army. He showed them noble figures who attended West Point and others who visited to speak to and motivate the cadets. Cadet Mellon explained the admission process and the importance of doing well in school. He brought some of his gear for the students to see, hold and try on. It was a great visit and the students are looking forward to another one in the future.
After leaving HMS, Cadet Mellon headed over to NFA. They were honored to welcome him to speak with the Air Force ROTC cadets about life at the United States Military Academy. Cadet Mellon shared valuable insight into what it takes to gain admission to West Point, including academics, leadership, physical fitness, and character. His visit was both informative and motivating, inspiring our cadets to pursue excellence and consider service academies as part of their future.
