"B" Day
Heritage Middle School Dismissal!
To have a safe dismissal, we are asking families no longer to park on Union Ave to wait to be let on the property. We are asking families to arrive at 2:10pm. At this time, buses will be leaving the property. If you arrive earlier, you can park in the Temple Hill Academy parking lot until 2:10pm. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
Open House!
On Thursday, September 28th, parents will be able to attend Open House at Heritage Middle School. It will take place between 6:00pm and 8:00pm. It is a time to meet your child's teachers and follow your child's schedule for the day! Please come and visit Heritage!
Pink Day!!
On October, 6th, NECSD requests that you wear pink or any color that represents another form of cancer as a tribute to fighting cancer.
Halloween Dance!!
The Halloween Dance will be held on Friday, October 20th from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Students need to have 85% attendance and can not be failing 2 or more core classes. Administration will also be checking on student's behavior for admittance to the dance. Students will not be permitted into the dance after 7:00 pm and will not be able to leave until a parent or guardian picks them up. Costumes and fall costumes may be worn - but are not required. WEAPONS AND MASKS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED!! There will be a DJ, cash machine where you can win money, giveaways, a photo area, pizza, drinks and finger foods. Students need to return a permission slip and $ 10.00 (cash) to the Guidance Office by October 10th to receive a ticket. Come to the first dance have a SPOOKTACULAR time!!!
Heritage 5K!!!
The Heritage 5K "Trick or Trot" will be held on Saturday, October 21st at 9AM SHARP! Please get the Sign Up form in the Main Office and return it to Mr. Marino! Students need to sign up and try to beat Mr. Marino at the 5K!!
Heritage Trunk or Treat!!
Heritage Middle School will be holding a "Trunk or Treat" on Monday, October 30th from 5:00 to 6:30 pm. Please park your car in the parking lot. The students will be able to walk around the bus circle on the sidewalk for the event. If you have any questions, reach out to Ms. Lapierre at tlapierre@necsd.net. Come out with your friends for the ghoulist night ever!!
Picture Re-take Day will be held on Monday, December 11th.
Cell Phone Policy!
Cell phones must be turned off and out of sight for the entire school day!
1st offense - The student and administration will review the policy of no cell phone use.
2nd offense - An administrator will review the policy with the student and parent. The parent will be notified that future violations can result in suspension, revocation of the student's privilege to have a phone in school.
3rd offense - The phone will be confiscated and secured in the Main Office until the end of the day. The student's privilege will be suspended or revoked and the student will be subject to other disciplinary action (ex. suspension).
Working Papers!
If your child is 14 years old, he/she can get their working papers in the Health Office. They need a physical within a year to get working papers. If your child is turning 14 years old over the summer, he/she can get their working papers at NFA Main.
Mask Update!
Students and staff - wearing a mask will be optional. Please respect each other for their choice of wearing a mask or not wearing a mask. Students and staff must keep monitoring for symptoms and stay home if you are sick. If you test positive for COVID 19, please notify your school immediately. Please continue to wash your hands and use hand sanitizer to help reduce the spread of the virus.
All Students that want to try out for a sport must fill out the "Final Forms" form on the NECSD website and have a current physical!!
Center for H.O.P.E. Group!
The H.O.P.E. Group will be collecting food this year (no clothes) for those in need. All canned goods, pasta, soups and drinks can be dropped off in room 315.
School Holidays and Closures!
Monday, September 25th - no school - in observance of Yom Kippur.
Monday, October 9th - no school - Columbus Day / Indigenous People Day.
Tuesday, October 31st - 1/2 day of school - Staff Development Day.
Tuesday, November 7th - no school - Superintendent's Conference Day.
Friday, November 10th - no school - Veteran's Day.
Wednesday, November 22nd - no school - Superintendent's Conference Day.
Thursday, Nov. 23rd and Friday, Nov. 24th - no school - Thanksgiving recess.
Water refill stations are now available to refill water containers. Make sure you bring enough water to school.
