Newburgh Police Officer has Lunch with GAMS Scholars
Officer Kevin Herrera of the Newburgh Police Department visited GAMS during lunch to eat and speak with the young scholars. He went from table to table introducing himself. The students had several questions for Officer Herrera and he answered them all with a huge smile. Officer Herrera was then escorted to the lunch line by a 3rd grade scholar who shared with him the steps to getting a healthy school lunch.
Officer Herrera recollected on his time as an NECSD scholar as he sat with a group of 3rd graders. He attended New Windsor Elementary, South Middle School and NFA before serving his community.
