All NECSD schools and district offices are closed Tuesday, December 23rd due to inclement weather. The district will remain closed for winter break and will reopen on Monday, January 5th.

This is a friendly reminder that the district is closed from Wednesday, December 24th until Friday, January 2nd for Winter Recess. All schools and district offices will reopen on Monday, January 5th, 2026.

Each year, this tradition highlights original student artwork that captures the spirit of the season while showcasing the strength of arts education across our schools.

Classes shared festive selections including “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,” and “Run Run Rudolph,” with students also serving as speakers to introduce each performance.

Hosted in the NFA Planetarium, the NFA Astronomy Club will be presenting their traditional show, The Season of Light, about the traditions around the Winter Solstice including holidays.

The Fostertown community proudly gathered to celebrate the opening and dedication of the Ramos “Rainbows” Reading Room, a newly renamed library space honoring the lasting legacy of former principal, Mrs. Maritza Vargas-Ramos.
