Dig Deeper & Reach Beyond "I Have a Dream" Interview
The Horizons on the Hudson PTO and REACH Team present: Dig Deeper & Reach Beyond "I Have a Dream." A nightly community share throughout Black History Month that our scholars and educators enjoyed watching with the entire family!
This presentation was an interview of Ms. Jamillah Jacobs, a Horizons on the Hudson parent, NECSD employee, and community activist and leader. Born and raised in the City of Newburgh, Ms. Jacobs started her interview with a poem by Maya Angelou, Phenomenal Woman and discussed the phenomenal women in her life and her experiences growing up and becoming an activist and leader.
The HOH PTO and REACH Team collaborated to host a month-long program in February for Black History Month. One book, oral history or story that celebrates black culture will be presented at 7 pm every night of the month of February on the HOH PTO's Facebook Live (@hohpto). You do not need to have Facebook to view these presentations.
