Renwick Street Pre-K Students Visit with
New York State Senator William Larkin Jr.
Students from the Newburgh Enlarged City School District’s Pre-K Center at Renwick Street in Newburgh received a special visit from New York State Senator William J. Larkin Jr. recently as part of the ongoing 40th Anniversary Celebration of the Universal Pre-K Program. Senator Larkin enjoyed an early morning with the young students in Laura Cyborski’s class and read them the book, “Please Say Please!: Penguin’s Guide to Manners. In addition, the young students showed the Senator their hands-on counting skills.
Over the course of the school year, special events have been ongoing at both of the Pre-K Centers at Renwick Street and Washington Street to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the Universal Pre-K Program in Newburgh.
A general registration for the 2010-2011 Universal Pre-K Program will take place on Tuesday, April 20 until Fri., April 30, 2010 from 9a.m. until 1p.m. Children do not need to be present to register. For more information call the Registration Office at 563-KIDS(5437) .
Documents required at the time of registration are:
- Parent/Guardian Government Issued Photo ID
- Child’s Birth Certificate
- Copy of last Physical Exam
- Up-to-Date Immunization/Shot Record
- Proof of Lead Screening
- Proof of Residency (Utility Bill, Rental/Lease Agreement or Mortgage statement)
