"We're Going to the Library"

All Pre-K Classes at the Pre-K Center at Washington Street went to the Newburgh Free Library during the month of March. The children heard stories and learned about the library from the Children's Librarian, Mrs. Doris Free. They had an opportunity to choose books from the shelf to look at and brought home an application for their own library card. The Pre-K Center's main hallway bulletin board, put up by Ms. Mahusky and Mrs. Hazelwood's classes, featured the children's favorite books and quotes about them. The children also learned a song by John Farrell, "We're Going to the Library!" Pictured are students in Ms. Mahusky and Mrs. Hazelwood's classes listening to a story and looking at books.
