Prism will be honoring World AIDS Day on Dec. 2nd. Red Ribbons and information will be available on the table near the lower lobby. Please stop by with any questions and wear a red ribbon symbolizing your support for people living with HIV/AIDS, the international symbol of HIV awareness and support. For all Staff and students during the 10th period on Tuesday, there will be a presentation regarding HIV/AIDS prevention, education and awareness in room 106. An individual living with HIV will share his personal story and be available for questions and answers. Please see Ms. Kudan at Main or Ms. Mojica at North if you have any questions.

Auditions for NFA’s Musical Production of Mary Poppins will take place on Monday, December 8th in the auditorium. Please see the bulletin board beside the auditorium for audition information. Pick up audition material in the dance studio-room 110. See Mrs. Clifford in the dance studio if you have any questions.

Come see the NFA Dance Department’s production of The Polar Express-Friday, December 5th at 7:00 P.M. and Saturday, December 6th at 2:00 P.M. Tickets cost $5.00 and can be bought at the door. Kick off your holiday season with over 170 dancers as they perform this classic tale. See you there!

There will be a Red Cross Club meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 3rd, 10th period in room 201B at North Campus. All students welcome. This is a great way to help others and earn community service. This is open to North and Main Campus students.

AFJROTC’S annual Toy Drive will be held from December 1st until December 12th. Anyone who wishes to donate, please drop it off in the ROTC cadet area or contact the office at X35489 or email SMSGT Herter/Col. Seward. Please ensure toys are new or in good condition. All donations go to children right here in Newburgh, so let us make a child’s Christmas a special and memorable one by putting a smile on their faces. Show them we care!

Attention College bound seniors: Please remember to submit all college application and recommendation requests to your school counselor or teacher at least two weeks before the deadline to ensure that your information is completed and sent on time. It’s never too early to start!

There will be a blood drive meeting on Thursday, November 20th in the Auditorium at 2:15 P.M. and Tuesday, December 9th in the Auditorium at 2:15 P.M. You must attend both meetings to work the Blood Drive on December 12th. You must be a student in good standing to volunteer. Those on the 90% list will not be able to help.

Attention seniors: Lors Studio will be here for senior portraits on the following dates: At Main Campus: October 20, 21, 23, November 12, 13, December 16. At North Campus: October 24 and November 14. You must make an appointment to have your picture taken. Go online to to schedule your appointment.
