7th Grade Scoliosis Screening for Girls!
The Health Office will begin scoliosis screening for 7th grade girls the week of April 1, 2024. Scoliosis is an abnormal curve of the spine and if caught early may be able to be corrected. Notices were sent home with the students who will need the NYS Mandated Screening. Students who submit a physical examination from their doctor that has documentation that the screening was done are exempt from the school screening. Please contact the health office at 845-563-3760 if you have any questions regarding this important screening.
Yondr Program - Cell phone pouch!
Heritage Middle School is implementing the Yondr Cell Phone Pouch system. Every student will secure their phone in a personally assigned Yondr pouch when they arrive to school. Students will maintain possession of their phones and will not use them until their pouches are opened at the end of the day. Students are expected to bring their pouches back to school each morning. This is to promote a phone-free space to help optimize teaching and learning. If you have any questions or if there is an emergency and you need to contact your child, please reach out to the main office at 845-563-3750. You can also visit https://www.overyondr.com/schools for more detailed information.
Heritage Middle School Dismissal!
To have a safe dismissal, we are asking families no longer to park on Union Ave to wait to be let on the property. We are asking families to arrive at 2:10pm. At this time, buses will be leaving the property. If you arrive earlier, you can park in the Temple Hill Academy parking lot until 2:10pm. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!
