“Emma’s Baskets” Spreads Spring Good Will

Newburgh Free Academy Liberal Arts and Applied Science House students, along with house administrators Sue Valentino and Jeff Woody, worked in collaboration with teachers Karen Stafford and Chris Cotton, for the annual Emma’s Baskets spring good-will drive. According to Stafford, “Emma’s Baskets”, is an offshoot of “Emma’s Stockings” a holiday donation drive that was named in honor or her late grandmother as a good will gesture to others.

NFA students, led by their teachers and administrators, collected items and monetary donations from generous students and teachers which were then used to create baskets filled with goodies and necessities for recipients. This year’s recipients of the baskets were Safe Homes of Newburgh and the Optimist's Club of Newburgh.
